Weekend in Chennai – Watch Cricket in style

November 5, 2007

With the Indo-Pak series starting today, all cricket fans will gear up, adjusting their schedules to catch the matches at home, in office ( many companies provide TVs in cafeterias to reduce planned sick leaves by the employees :-)), at pub with friends. The scores can be checked – over the net, on FM in mobiles, transistors, electronic shops that play the good samaritan role during this time.

i would like to present a unique, unique, unique place in chennai where one can feel the heat of indo-pak matches in a perfect ambience.

The “Cricketer’s Inn & Cricket cafe” at Neelankarai off ECR, which is also the first cricket theme inn and cafe in Chennai, started by former Kerala leg spinner J.K. Mahendra who got inspired from a similar cafe in Srilanka.

Every inch of this place will reflect cricket and even the menu is not spared. The cafe is in the lawn with a giant television screen, a pool table, a cricket memorabilia shop, a library, a gym with jacuzzi and sauna, and an artificial pitch imported from South Africa. The Inn has 8 rooms and provides bed and breakfast. The residents can borrow books and cricket DVDs from the library, use gym, jacuzzi and sauna.

Catch the latest scores and schedule of Indo-Pak series at http://contentwww.cricinfo.com/indvpak/content/current/series/297427.html

So this season, catch the action at “Cricket cafe” ( there are matches on 11th and 18th which are sundays).

Do leave your comments about this post and cafe.
